Sahasra Chaikam

My name is Sahasra Chaikam, and I am a 17-year-old student at Mountain House High School living in Hansen with my parents and my younger brother. I am excited to serve as the Assistant Director of Community Development (Cultural & Festivals) for the Mountain House Telugu Community.

I enjoy being involved in Telugu cultural events and helping with festival planning and coordination. In this role, I work with volunteers and performers, support events before and during execution, and help make sure cultural traditions are represented thoughtfully and accurately.

Outside of community service, I play basketball and volleyball, which have helped me build strong teamwork and leadership skills. I am also involved in tutoring, where I support other students and learn how to communicate clearly and work responsibly with others.

This role has given me valuable leadership experience, mentorship from community members, and the opportunity to give back to my community in a meaningful way. I look forward to continuing to grow and contribute through cultural and festival events.
